This service is designed to allow individuals with disabilities to be gainfully employed in the community. Through job placement and the help of a provided job coach, the individual will learn to be a productive and active member of both in the community and in society.

Program provides counseling for clients facing opioid addiction. How counseling works: To aid in your success a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor (LICDC) identifies triggers and coping mechanisms Services provided range from education, individual, group, couples, family, and codependency counseling. We require a 24 HOUR notice prior to you scheduled appointment for CANCELLATION. If this requirement is NOT met, patient will be expected to pay for the appointment in FULL. As stated in treatment contract, counseling is required at the minimum of ONCE PER WEEK.

Independent Futures that Work is designed to help in the successful transition of youth and young adults from high school into the next stage of adult life. "Transition" is used to describe the period when youth with disabilities (ages 14-26) begin to focus on their future adult life. IFTW will provide resources and trainings for youth with disabilities, their families, and professionals.IFTW is a project of the Alabama Parent Education Center in partnership with Parent Training and Information Centers from five other states including Arkansas.

Program offers diet screening (assessing food currently consumed) and nutritional counseling, along with health screenings to check blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels to help determine risk of developing heart disease and diabetes.Program also helps those who are underweight or malnourished. It connects patients to services that can help resolve food insecurity.Program offers a variety of assistance programs for patients that qualify. Please contact for information.

This program offers a long-term residential treatment program that provides specialized training and development programming to adolescents or teens between the ages of 6 and 17 who have intellectual disabilities and/or related developmental disabilities.

The IRS is seeking to reach the roughly 9 million individuals who are eligible to receive Economic Impact Payments but have not done so. Most of them are non-filers because they do not make enough income annually to require them to file a return. These individuals have until 11/21 to register with the IRS using the Non-Filers tool in order to receive their EIP monies this year.

Provides faith based transitional housing for men in recovery.

Provides nine weeks of enrichment and fun for children who would otherwise spend summers at home, often isolated from other children. Provides much-needed support to working families who, because of a lack of child care, are unable to work during the summer months.

Program provides free four-hour workshops offered in the community designed to increase family members' knowledge of caregiving for older adults in the home. They offer an Alzheimer's/Dementia Workshop and a Physical Skills Workshop. Workshops can be scheduled at a location for groups of ten or more. This workshop is provided by the UAMS Schmieding Home Caregiver Training Program curriculum.
