Northwest Arkansas Head Start and Early Head Start promotes school readiness to low-income families. These programs support the mental, social, and emotional development of children from birth to 5 years old and pregnant women.

The testing process involves a diagnostic intake, objective testing, and report measures. The diagnostic intake is an interview during which the examiner can gather information about the background and current concerns of the client. The objective testing is performed one-on-one with the examiner with the use of a tablet or paper/pencil during the assessments. The report measures are completed by the client or client's parent/guardian about the client's current emotional or behavioral difficulties.

Provides a number of services including treatment options, treatment vouchers, case management, and random urine analysis.

Provides clothing, diapers and formula for children, along with limited adult clothing.

Program is located in a historic home with four fully furnished guest rooms. The accommodations have a bed and breakfast feel and are available for out-of-town patients who are undergoing treatment and/or hospitalization. Each room has two twin beds, a sitting chair, television, minifridge, dresser and closet. Two rooms have private baths. All guests have access to cable television, DVD, Wi-Fi, telephone, a public computer and a fully equipped kitchen for preparing and storing food. Patients undergoing cancer treatment are required to have a companion accompany them during their entire stay. Most rooms require the ability to navigate stairs. Reservations for cancer patients is given priority, however, CSH can also be made available to patients receiving medical treatment at local medical facilities or their family members. Reservations are made on a first-come, first-served basis.

Outpatient clinical services designed to help children who are faced with emotional and/or behavioral problems.Through individual, group and family therapy, support services, and behavioral assistance, the counselors help children and families improve the emotional and behavioral development of the child.Common problems addressed include: Difficulty adjusting to a stressful event such as divorce or loss of a loved one Behavioral problems such as oppositional defiant disorder Mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and attention deficit disorder

Testing and evaluation consists of a series of tests that help determine the cause of psychological symptoms and disorders, to determine the correct diagnosis and follow up with the appropriate course of treatment.

Program provides both comprehensive psychiatric evaluation and psychological testing services.

This initiative helps families move from crisis to career, using existing community resources, by engaging community partners, training agencies on a collaborative case management system, and recruiting case managers to respond when a family is in crisis.

Anyone in need is welcome to warm up in the Day Room during business hours of 8:00am - 3:00pm. Breakfast and lunch are both served. Referrals and transportation assistance are available to other shelters, especially The Salvation Army, for overnight shelter needs. Program provides after school and tutoring programs free of charge to families. Children in the program receive dinner and educational enrichment.

Program is a clinic that provides the following services: Conservative evaluation and non-surgical treatment of spinal conditions including degenerative disc disease, scoliosis, spinal stenosis, previously diagnosed back and neck pain, cervical and lumbar herniated discs as well as second opinions. Work directly with surgeons and staff to provide pre-operative, post-operative and long-term management Variety of treatment options including use of educational tools, exercise regimens and movement disciplines to restore stability and decrease pain

Program emphasizes work as the first step toward building a brighter future. Through training, education and work activities, individuals are guided to become self-sufficient. This federally funded program provides time-limited cash assistance to needy families with (or expecting) children. In addition, TEA furnishes parents with work training and other supportive services they need in order to attain permanent self-sufficiency. The TEA program also provides assistance to children being cared for by non-parental guardians. Financial assistance is based on family size, income, resources and the ages of the children. Time-limited support is provided with a variety of supportive services while moving individuals back into the labor market.

Monthly prepared box of food items provided. Participant may also receive regular food pantry items.
