Program provides temporary care for youth in need of services and in crisis situations.

Individuals who are responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires and responding to emergency situations where life, property and/or the environment are at risk. They also rescue victims and provide emergency medical attention as needed. Duties may include fire prevention, emergency medical service, hazardous material response, search and rescue, and disaster management.

Program offers three levels of Spanish classes for adults throughout the year. A book is provided with the classes focusing on conversational Spanish. The classes meet two hours weekly for 8 weeks. Spanish classes for children are offered when there is enough interest to start a session.

Program provides assistance with reopening clients coverage. If community members lost coverage because they failed to provide requested information, they still can provide that information and have their coverage re-opened. They have 30 days to do so after their closing date if they qualified for Medicaid under Long-Term Services and Supports eligibility rules. They have 90 days after their closing date if they qualified for Medicaid under Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) eligibility rules.If one loses their card, they should call 1 (800) 482-8988 as soon as they notice their card is missing.NOTE:DHS is beginning the renewal process for ALL Medicaid beneficiaries NOW! If community members receive any request from DHS in the mail, THEY MUST RESPOND WITHIN 30 DAYS. Responding within 30 days allows community members to stay on their current Medicaid program or receive an automatic referral to the new program they may be eligible for. The program runs a food pantry for emergency food assistance.

Specialized treatment for parents and caregivers of sexually abused children is provided by the Division of Children and Family Services. This program will target non-offending adults who have no payment source for needed services. Referrals will come mainly from Pulaski County but all of Arkansas is eligible if the participant is willing to travel. Participants will receive an assessment, an initial diagnostic interview, a psychiatric review of records, individual and group psychotherapy.
